Research

For over 20 years, CCSR has a proven track record for conducting community based research including gathering data from a variety of non-traditional research participants (e.g.,  homeless, random samples, and selected citizens and community leaders, persons with a mental illness or other disability) using methods considered most appropriate ranging from surveys to personal interviews to focus groups.

Working within a self-directed work team approach, CCSR doctoral level researchers, master’s level research associates, and doctoral students in community psychology are responsible for conceptualizing, designing, implementing, and conducting community based research initiatives including developing grant and contract proposals to secure external research funding.  Researchers also analyze existing and new data and are responsible for writing research articles for submission to peer reviewed journals and conferences.
