Our Philosophy and Approach

WSU's Center for Community Support & Research (CCSR) is dedicated to the belief that every individual has insights and experiences worthy of sharing with others and those individuals can utilize those talents, in a trusting environment, to significantly impact lives and communities.

CCSR’s vision is that all Kansans use their talents and experiences to create thriving communities and our mission is to partner with communities and organizations to strengthen Kansas through education, leadership development, facilitation, and research.

CCSR works with a variety of individuals and groups including non-profit, faith-based and community-based organizations and utilizes a multidisciplinary, vision-driven approach to build and enhance capacity within organizations and communities.  With an understanding that those served are the experts in their respective fields, CCSR teams, with years of combined experience and research, help empower organizations to grow through mutual learning opportunities and increase effectiveness through customized, strategic plans that focus on long-term and sustained change.
